Cellartis DEF-CS 500 Xeno-Free Culture Medium without Antibiotics is intended for the expansion of human induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells in conditions that are completely free from human- and animal-derived components. Cells are cultured in the absence of feeder cells; instead, a xeno-free substrate such as iMatrix-511 is used. The culture protocol uses gentle, non-enzymatic single-cell passaging to ensure controlled and reproducible conditions. Cells cultured in Cellartis DEF-CS 500 Xeno-Free Culture Medium without Antibiotics have a high-proliferation rate and stable karyotype, allowing for efficient scale-up. The combination of these features makes this medium ideal for generating preclinical-grade iPS cells for regenerative medicine studies.
