血管內(nèi)皮生長(zhǎng)因子（Vascular endothelial growth factor，VEGF）是血管內(nèi)皮細(xì)胞特異性的肝素結(jié)合生長(zhǎng)因子（heparin-binding growth factor），可在體內(nèi)誘導(dǎo)血管新生。VEGF有六種不同亞型，包括VEGF-A，-B，-C，-D，及-E；其分子量從35至44kDa不等，每個(gè)亞型特異性地與三個(gè)“血管內(nèi)皮生長(zhǎng)因子受體”（VEGFR-1，-2，及-3)的特定組合相結(jié)合。VEGF是高度保守的同源二聚體糖蛋白。二條分子量各為24kDa的單鏈以二硫鍵組成二聚體。VEGF分解的單體無(wú)活性,去除N 2糖基對(duì)生物效應(yīng)無(wú)影響，但可能在細(xì)胞分泌中起作用。由于mRNA不同的剪切方式，產(chǎn)生出分別VEGF121、VEGF145、VEGF165、VEGF185、VEGF206等至少5種蛋白形式，其中VEGF121、VEGF145、VEGF165是分泌型可溶性蛋白，能直接作用于血管內(nèi)皮細(xì)胞促進(jìn)血管內(nèi)皮細(xì)胞增殖，增加血管通透性。

溶解：提供的小鼠血管內(nèi)皮生長(zhǎng)因子Sf9(mVEGF Sf9)產(chǎn)品為過(guò)濾滅菌的白色凍干粉末；該凍干粉末是從含1mg/ml小鼠血管內(nèi)皮生長(zhǎng)因子Sf9(mVEGF Sf9)的溶液（不含添加劑）中凍干產(chǎn)生的。我們建議加無(wú)菌的18MΩ-cm水以配制工作儲(chǔ)存液到不低于100ug/ml，后繼實(shí)驗(yàn)過(guò)程中可根據(jù)實(shí)驗(yàn)要求進(jìn)一步稀釋。

Introduction
Vascular endothelial growth factor is an important signaling protein involved in both vasculogenesis and angiogenesis. As its name implies, VEGF activity has been mostly studied on cells of the vascular endothelium, although it does have effects on a number of other cell types (e.g. stimulation monocyte/ macrophagemigration, neurons, cancer cells, kidney epithelial cells ).VEGF mediates increased vascular permeability, induces angiogenesis, vasculogenesis and endothelial cell growth, promotes cell migration, and inhibits apoptosis. In vitro, VEGF has been shown to stimulate endothelial cell mitogenesisand cell migration. VEGF is also a vasodilator and increases microvascular permeability and was originally referred to as vascular permeability factor.
Elevated levels of this protein are linked to POEMS syndrome, also known as Crow-Fukase syndrome. Mutations in this gene have been associated with proliferative and nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy.
Description
Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Mouse Recombinant produced in Sf9 insect cells is a double, glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 164 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 48 kDa.
The VEGF is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

The protein was lyophilized from a concentrated (1mg/ml) solution with no additives.
Solubility （溶解性）
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor-Sf9 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability （穩(wěn)定性）
Lyophilized Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Sf9 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution VEGF-Sf9 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
